So you are interested in manual recruitment? Great! It can seem like a daunting task but it's really quite simple. Here we'll walk you through the steps of manual recruitment.
Firstly you'll need to contact a member of government to be given access to recruiting. Only approved nations may recruit for Caer Sidi and they must use the provided recruitment telegram.
Make sure you are logged in to the nation you would like to send telegrams from. Next you'll want to make your telegram template so you can keep track of your delivery reports. Your delivery report lets you see how many of your telegrams were read and how many nations you have successfully recruited.
Making the telegram template:
-Go to your telegrams and click on '+New Telegram'. Copy and paste the recruitment letter into the body of the telegram.
-In the 'To' bar, enter in: tag: template. When you click away it should now show (Create Telegram Template) under the 'To' bar.
-Next to the 'To' bar you'll see a downward facing arrow. When you hover over it it will say 'Advanced Options'. Click the arrow and then check the box next to 'This is a recruitment telegram' and make sure it says 'for Caer Sidi'. This ensures that your telegram is appropriately marked.
-Finally hit send.
-Go to your sent folder and open the telegram you just sent. Scroll to the bottom and choose 'Delivery and Read Reports'. This shows you your telegram template code. This is the code you will send to new nations. Copy this code and we'll move onto the next step, telegraming new nations.
-Now that you have your template code we'll start sending it out to new nations. At the top of the page click 'Activity', then in the top right corner choose 'Foundings'. Alternatively you can just use this link: www.nationstates.net/page=activity/view=world/filter=founding
-Click on a nation that has just been founded and scroll to the bottom of the page to click 'Write Telegram'
-In the body of the telegram paste your template code and then hit send. It's that easy!
