Let me start by recommending a movie to you all first.
Incendies(2010) IMDB Rating: 8.3/10 Rotten Tomatoes: 93%
Incendies is one of my all time favorite movies! It is extremely well directed and has a very powerful story. This spellbinding movie shows you how in a war everyone is a victim. For example, lets talk about child soldiers.. He or she might have been abducted or forced to become a soldier because of their circumstances. This child soldier is as much a victim of the war just as much as anyone he or she ends up killing or hurting. It all comes down to our initial definition of victim.
The movie's plot revolves around Canadian twins who after their mother's death learns that their father, whom they have never met and thought is dead, is actually alive and that they also have a brother that they don't know about. They then travel to their mother's native country in the Middle East to uncover her hidden past amidst a bloody civil war. You could live with a person your entire life and still not know everything about them. Incendies has one of the most heart wrenching endings that I have ever seen and yet it is also one of the most beautiful movies I know. I would, without a doubt, recommend this movie to you all.

The Expanse (TV Series) Based on a series of novels of the same name by James. S. A. Corey, The Expanse, in my opinion, is the best sci-fi thriller series that is currently running. Even though it takes a few episodes of the first season to capture the viewer's intrigue, The Expanse blends sci-fi elements and detective noir into a visually compelling whole. The series is set in a future where humanity has colonized the Solar System. Earth, ruled by United Nations, and Mars are the two great powers and are in a cold war against each other. It follows a disparate band of antiheroes as they unwittingly unravel and place themselves at the center of a conspiracy which threatens the system's fragile peace, the class balance, and the survival of humanity The series has some of the most stunning visuals I have ever seen in TV and it's character development and political narrative is just superb! Definitely one of my all time favourite shows!
